Budgie's Heavy Revolution

Time to remember...

Third book 'Time To Remember: Budgie's Heavy Revolution 1980-2010' is now available.

The book Budgie's First Three Albums, released in March 2013, covered the early days of the influential Welsh rockers, from 1967 to 1973.

Follow-up book In Pecking Order: Budgie 1974-79 kicks off with 1974's In For The Kill, 40 years after its release, then explores the heady heights of 1975's chart album Bandolier, 1976's debut for A&M, If I Were Brittania I'd Waive The Rules, and 1978's finely crafted Impeckable.

The first two books are now also available from Encore Records in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
In Pecking Order: Budgie 1974-79 was published in May 2014, 40 years after In For The Kill was released in the United Kingdom. It's a 400-page book with 360 images. The book is printed in colour on high-quality 113gsm matte art paper.

The intriguing story of Budgie's 1974-79 period is told with equal parts candour and humour by band members, manager and engineer alike.

The book includes interview material from Tony Bourge (guitar), Burke Shelley (bass and vocals), Steve Williams (drums), Pete Boot (drums) and his wife Nancy, Myf Isaac (touring guitarist), manager Graham Moloney, Canadian Bob Leth (who engineered Impeckable), and a number of acts that covered Budgie songs from the period.

The book includes photos from Ian Dickson, Fin Costello, Andrew Putler, Alan Perry, Phil E Neumann and Mike Isaac.
